The Render Network Foundation, the governance organization for the Render Network — the leading decentralized compute network connecting creators and builders with idle GPU capacity specializing in 3D rendering and general purpose compute to power AI workloads — is expanding its marketing team.
Silvia Lacayo joins the Render Network Foundation as Head of Marketing and Communications. Luke Duncan has been promoted to the role of Community and Governance Manager. Combined, their extensive and complementary backgrounds in product and brand marketing, positioning, messaging, communications, and community building will help elevate the Render Network Foundation as it seeks to grow and evolve. They’ll work alongside a team that includes Sunny Osahn, who oversees the Foundation’s grants program, and two community moderators, Praveen and Flo Flo.
Silvia brings more than 15 years of experience across the blockchain, SaaS, and consumer goods industries. She began her career in brand management at companies like Unilever before transitioning to enterprise SaaS. She’s held marketing leadership roles at blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis and Bitstamp, the longest-running cryptocurrency exchange. She was also head of marketing at an early OpenAI partner startup. Of her new position, she commented, “Joining Render is a full circle opportunity where I get to help advance the case for both blockchain and AI. I’m particularly excited to collaborate with ecosystem partners, including 3D creators who are bringing next-level ideas to life using this technology. I can’t wait to start building initiatives that expand adoption of this incredible protocol.”
Luke has been involved in the crypto community and community building for more than seven years, with four years dedicated to the Render Network moderating team. His focus moving forward will be to foster community relationships, promote governance participation, and improve communications between the Render Network Foundation and various stakeholders. He said of his promotion, “I look forward to stepping into this role and broadening the Foundation’s relationship with the community.”
“I’m delighted to welcome Silvia to the team to lead Marketing and Communications and see Luke step up to the role of Community and Governance Manager. The Render Network protocol has a years-long track record with creators who have built incredible 3D graphics and video content at a fraction of the price of traditional rendering technology. And yet it’s still early days. I look forward to supporting Silvia and Luke in further strengthening the foundation’s ties with creator and artist communities while also expanding awareness of the protocol’s capabilities for general compute use cases, including AI-related workloads.”
— Trevor Harries-Jones, of the Render Network Foundation’s Board of Directors
Tristan Relly, the Render Foundation’s Head of Operations, further elaborated on the expansions to the team:
“I’m excited to expand the Foundation’s marketing capabilities with the addition of a marketing veteran who understands marketing end to end, from how to identify and apply market insights to strategic planning and tactical execution. Additionally, by formalizing a governance and community management role, the Foundation is prioritizing a more structured approach to community reporting and relationship-building. It comes at the perfect time as we explore additional ways for the Render protocol to support both advanced 3D rendering and the potential growth opportunity of new use cases.”
The Render Network Foundation manages governance, the BME (Burn-and-Mint Equilibrium) protocol, and grants for the ecosystem while fostering ecosystem partnerships. By expanding its team, the Render Network Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that grow usage of the protocol while building and enhancing relationships with communities of various stakeholders.
