Artist Gonzzzalo recently showed love for using Render Network with Redshift, calling it the smoothest render farm experience he’s had. He also highlighted how much the community values Redshift support alongside Blender and Cycles, calling Render unmatched compared to other services.

Control every layer of your final render. With AOV support on Render Network, you choose the passes, formats, and outputs.

AOVs explained:
AOVs (Arbitrary Output Variables) are individual render passes that let artists separate elements like shadows, reflections, lighting, depth, and more from a 3D scene. Instead of baking everything into one final image, AOVs provide separate layers to fine-tune the look in post-production.

Why it matters:
Using AOVs gives artists more control, flexibility, and efficiency, especially when working with compositing or making quick adjustments without re-rendering the whole scene.

3D artist Spenser Dickerson also broke down AOVs in an easy-to-understand way during this week’s Spaces (starting at 24:30)
