We’re thrilled to announce that Blender Cycles is entering a closed Beta on the Render Network, bringing native integration of Blender’s GPU ray-tracing render engine to the largest decentralized GPU rendering platform.
With Blender Cycles integrated on the Render Network, millions of artists from the leading open source 3D ecosystem can harness near unlimited high performance decentralized GPU cloud rendering power on Render.
The integration of Cycles on the Render Network follows a series of expansions to the Render Network’s Multi-Render capabilities. Earlier this fall, the Render Network released Beta support for Maxon’s Redshift. Redshift support is complimented by native Cinema 4D file support and an all new Render Network Cinema 4D Wizard, enabling both Redshift and Octane Cinema 4D artists to frictionlessly package, check, and send scenes from C4D to Render in an easy-to-use, artist friendly workflow.
With Redshift joining Octane on the Render Network — featuring both native C4D file support and a scene checker Wizard — artists from the industry’s two leading GPU rendering pipelines can access Render in an improved, frictionless workflow designed for simplified production use.
As with Cinema 4D, the Render Network Cycles integration will feature a new Render Network Blender Wizard that provides easy to use push-button exporting directly from Blender to the Render Network, with a scene checker that ensures jobs will render correctly on the network.
The integration of Blender’s Cycles on the Render Network was previewed in person this week at Blender’s BCON Amsterdam, bringing together leading developers and creators within the Blender ecosystem to share updates, educational resources, and previews of emerging technologies.
Artists and developers interested in trying the Beta of Cycles on the Render Network can apply for beta testing by completing this survey.
